In order to run a business, the government does mandate workers compensation
insurance. People do have to make a living and the government should not limit
choice when it comes to being an employee or a business owner. When you are a
business owner, you are required by law to pay for workers compensation on
yourself and when you get hurt, it does not cover you because you are a
business owner. I think I personally will file my own federal lawsuit on that
mandate. A person should not be forced to pay for insurance he or she cannot
benefit from.

The federal gov't dioeas not mandate that one purchase the other types of
insurance you mentioned and neither does the state of FL to the extent that if
one does not own or drive a car they are not required to purchase auto
insurance. I could be wrong but I think one is required to purchase homeowners
insurance if one owes on their home because the lender requires it. It would be
a waste of effort for any party to file such a lawsuit. I would favor the LP
instead issuing a statement of supporting the lawsuit that McCollum filed.
