Roger Stone, the campaign manager for Kristin Davis, made the
astounding claim on his blog today at http://www.stonezone.com/ that
we LPers want Porn King Larry Flint to run as our candidate for US
Senate.

Here is what Roger Stone posted:

Libertarians Seek Flynt
New York Libertarians backing Ex-Madam Kristin Davis for Governor are
asking porn-king Larry Flynt - a national symbol of the First
Amendment, to join their ticket as a U.S. Senate candidate to “Make a
statement for free expression.” Although a resident of California,
Flynt could take a residence, register and be eligible to run.

Davis, who will petition her way on to the ballot, said she would also
carry petitions for Flynt for U.S. Senate and file them. Davis said
she hoped to meet with Flynt in New York next week.

This of course is utter nonsense. Nobody in the Libertarian Party has
ever contemplated making Larry Flynt our candidate.

It is to be recalled that at a private meeting with New York
Libertarian Party members on April 12, 2010, Roger Stone stated that
if Kristin Davis becomes our candidate she is going to want some
celebrity-type candidates to be with her on the ticket. In effect,
Roger Stone suggested that he should be the person to decide who would
be on our slate of candidates.
