The loss of 25 lives and possibly 4 others, is never to be dismissed.  But
excuse me while I ask a few questions as much of the world is screaming for
more regulation of any already highly regulated industry.

    1. The government inspectors found numerous deficiencies as has been cited
time and again.  Why wasn't something done about them?  Why didn't they simply
close the
        mine?

    2.  Will there be any internal investigation?   Will any heads roll?  I
doubt it.  Suffice it to say, that never is the
government held accountable for its deficiencies.

    3.  If government regulation didn't work is there a logical free market
solution?  I submit there is but don't know enough about the industry.

    4.  NPR had an interview with a West Virginia woman who stated that mining
was a job that paid very well and was one of the few that a worker could go
into and expect
to make a liveable wage immediately.  Does this not imply that the
free market has offered a compensation for increased risk?

These are just a few questions.

They should be changed often and for the same reasons.
