Love her or loathe her, Ann Coulter has a way of unearthing some very
disquieting facts that prove the main stream media's complicity in
keeping embarrassing
facts about liberals and Democrats under wraps. Her column today is an
example.
In it, she reveals that Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist
Church that has been leading the protests at military funerals with signs such
as "God hates fags," and "God loves dead soldiers," is a Democrat and has run
for office as a Democrat five times.
I did a Google and read his Wikipedia entry and found that, sure enough, she
is correct. He also campaigned for civil rights which gets him an up in
liberaldom. His targets have included Ronald Reagan (an up), Howard Dean (a
down) and Bill O'Reilly (an up). He also is anti-semitic which probably gets
him a down in most circles of liberaldom and anti-Catholic which probably gets
him an up.
Can you imagine if it had been Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson or some Christian
conservative who hand been doing that, what kind of furor would erupt.
Way to go Ann. When I first head about this jerk's doing that I assumed, as I
am sure did most, that he was some kind of a Republican Christian
fundamentalist conservative.
I wonder if Stephanie Miller, Brian Williams or Chris Matthews will cover
this. I won't hold my breath.
