I made a new libev prerelease available:
http://data.plan9.de/libev-3.4.tar.gz
the only relevant changes are a workaround for a windows select bug, so
only affects the select backend (o mostly on windows), and the translation
of the WSA* error codes into C runtime error codes.
if all goes well this will be released soon.
