The Mozilla testing infrastructure has recently been hit by the following bad bug on OS X:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=884471 As best we can tell, it's caused by a bug in the OS X kernel. But it turns out that the patch at http://sourceforge.net/p/levent/bugs/244/ works around it. However, this patch is currently only on the libevent 2.1.X branch. So I, on behalf of Mozilla, would like to request that you consider backporting this patch to the current "stable" branch, from which the 2.0.X releases are made. We will backport the patch ourselves (or something close to it) -- since the bug quite urgently needs to be fixed. But it will be more convenient for Mozilla if, at some point, we can drop our patch and upgrade to a 2.0.X version that contains it. I've already asked about this at http://sourceforge.net/p/levent/bugs/244/. But Zack Weinberg suggested I should also email this list. Thanks in advance! *********************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to [email protected] with unsubscribe libevent-users in the body.
