If I look at the file poll.c, for example, I see the *3*-clause BSD
license, which has dropped exactly the one clause from the original
4-clause BSD license which was probably incompatible with the GPL
(the so-called advertising clause).

So I see no real problem, perhaps you feel prey to some FUD or outdated
information.
