For some time now I have been working on libpropeller - https://github.com/sergeyzavadski/libpropeller.
It is a high level multi threaded library, that has full HTTP support (but is possible to build custom TCP servers as well). It is written in C++ and using libevent's bufferevents as the foundation. I would appreciate any feedback Thanks, Sergey
