We could go back to Catalin's original, which accepts certificates that 
don't match the host.  It guess it's a question of what an example 
should be: is it just to show the libevent part, requiring the user to 
look elsewhere to put together a complete solution, or is it meant to be 
a stand-alone example of how to do https with libevent, that the user 
could copy as a basis for their own code?
