If you upgrade RHEL from 8.2 to the latest (8.8 or 8.9) you will get libguestfs 1.44.0. If you upgrade to RHEL 9 you will get libguestfs 1.50.1. Since you have (still) not described the exact environment you're using, or even accurately described the problem you're having, I don't know if this will make any difference.
