I'd hard-code that to "MD_MAJOR_VERSION=2". That was an ill-fated attempt to use the Debian changelog to drive the shared library versions, which IMHO is not the way to do things. > Also, I'm rather confused by where shared libraries are kept. It really depends on the way your cross- compilation environment works.
