Incidentally have people been running the testsuite routinely? For me
on current mainline it now produces many errors, and crashes the
machine (POWER5 LPAR).
It would be nice if the testsuite gave distro-appropriate error messages, but that's a fit and finish update where we're still mostly focused on extending the number of applications validated. In other words, there are some tests in the testsuite which are looking for things which come later in mainline, so it's not really an error for "this" particular distro release.
The current "next big thing" to fix is the number of large pages needed to run. Currently, we see as much as twice as many pages required at start-up of the application, which will be a problem for customers.
