Ugh. I swear I looked around for something like this a few months ago 
when this was first written, and didn't find anything. At first glance, 
it does seem that hugeadm will do the bulk of things for me. Okay, I'll 
go back to the drawing board for a bit, and see if this is at all 
necessary any more (or if it simply needs to be updated to use hugeadm 
for some of the things its doing now).
