Hey, I left adaptive coarsening in a potentially broken state for a
week without realizing it; I think the SVN head is going to be in a
state of churn for a little while whether you're helping screw it up
or not.  ;-)

Just shout first if you find yourself wanting to make major changes
outside Exodus-specific code.
