So... I just committed a patch created by one of the developers here
on my team for Exodus output. It removes the assumption of only one
element type... and allows writing out multiple blocks (before all
elements would just come out in one block).

This represents a shift in the libMesh work here at INL. Before, it
was all done by me... but that's starting to not be the case. Along
with this Exodus work we also have a developer integrating the MED
mesh file format ( http://www.salome-platform.org/home/presentation/
med/ ) and finishing up the Trilinos integration work that was started
last year.

I'm hoping that having these other developers tasked with libMesh
development tasks might mean that they actually get finished ;-) For
now, I'm still going to be the gatekeeper for patches (I did modify
and enhance the Exodus patch before I committed it) so nothing is
really going to change on your side. Just thought I would give you
guys a heads up as to why my libMesh productivity is going to suddenly
triple ;-)

Derek
