This is supposed to work, but switching between different Hypre solvers is not currently supported. So you can switch from ASM to Hypre:BoomerAMG to ML to Hypre:Euclid, but not directly from Hypre:BoomerAMG to Hypre:Euclid. If the above doesn't work, could you send a test case? Redirecting through something trivially cheap like Jacobi should work, but it's a hack. Is runtime switching between Hypre solvers something that is important to you? There is nothing fundamental in the design of PC_Hypre preventing such dynamic switching, it just hasn't been implemented.
