Any chance you'd like to start by creating a miscellaneous example
that has roughly similar PerfLog fractions to your own applications?

Doesn't have to be fancy JFNK; starting with a TransientExplicitSystem
and tweaking the complexity of a small nonlinear term ought to be
sufficient.  Ideally the mesh would be something that would still
finish in seconds during the "make run_examples" check but that would
start to give decent test numbers after tweaking the input file to use
a finer mesh and/or go from 2D->3D.
