Looks like something that hasn't been merged over to trunk yet, because I
haven't seen the issue there.

This is for an "almost stock" Mountain Lion install.  I have some stuff
built by hand, no macports installed though.  No Xquartz stuff.

Also looks like ./configure --disable-tecplot *does not* work around the
error
