Sure, we could easily build libexodusII_for.la or whatever if requested.  That 
would be the safer way to do things - make sure the Fortran bindings are built 
with the same flags & compilers as the mainline exodusII library.

Let me know if it pops up again and we can add said option to the exodus build.
