http://aniszczyk.org/2012/10/09/checkout-github-pull-requests-via-cli/ Type magic into "git config", and afterwards all current and future pull requests on GitHub become things you can switch to via e.g. "git checkout pr/76" I'm still trying to figure out the right way to do this with forks, though.
