It turns out that we *did* have some unavoidable API breakage
affecting GRINS, and Paul asked me if we'd have a "fixed target" soon
for GRINS users to base against.

We typically do 6-12 months between non-bugfix releases, not 2-3
months, but master is in pretty good shape (modulo possible API
renaming and a potentially-controversial-bugfix that I'll post about
shortly), and it would be nice to make it easy for power users to
switch to the ParallelObject interface ASAP.

Would it give anyone any trouble if we try to put out an 0.9.1 release
shortly?
