It turns out that we *did* have some unavoidable API breakage affecting GRINS, and Paul asked me if we'd have a "fixed target" soon for GRINS users to base against.
We typically do 6-12 months between non-bugfix releases, not 2-3 months, but master is in pretty good shape (modulo possible API renaming and a potentially-controversial-bugfix that I'll post about shortly), and it would be nice to make it easy for power users to switch to the ParallelObject interface ASAP.
