All,

I am on the hook to give a talk here at our center which has the broad
title "C++ Porgramming Basics". The audience will be primarily
graduate students with perhaps some programming experience in Matlab
or other scripted languages, but which will otherwise have no specific
prior knowledge.

Therefore, I'm writing to ask all of you, who are of course expert C++
programmers by now ;), what you always wished you had known as a
beginner, but didn't find out until much later, or what you found
particularly confusing or particularly useful to know when you were
just starting off.

Feel free to reply on one of the libmesh lists or directly to me.

Thanks,
--
John
