Dear libMesh team, It seems as if libMesh does not yet work with PETSc 3.1. At least, a student of mine just tried to install it, and it didn't work. The first thing is that it looks for some file in the non-existing folder $PETSC_DIR/bmake. We fixed this by manually patching MAKE.common, but there are also other errors. Meanwhile, I told my student to install an older PETSc version and to work with this, but perhaps you guys could have a look at what has to be changed in order to let libMesh work with PETSc 3.1.
