Just setup sidesets and nodesets in your Exodus file then use
mesh.boundary_info to test for them in your code to apply the BC you want on
that sideset/nodeset.
ie do something like
if(mesh.boundary_info.boundary_id(current_elem, current_side) == 7)
{
// apply BC corresponding to sideset 7
}
