I'd like to make add_vector_transpose to use the Hermitian in the --enable-complex case, see the attached simple patch (or could add PetscVector::add_vector_hermitian instead).

This seems simple enough, but when I get to the MatMultHermitianTransposeAdd call, I get the error:

[0]PETSC ERROR: --------------------- Error Message ------------------------------------
[0]PETSC ERROR: No support for this operation for this object type!
[0]PETSC ERROR: Mat type seqaij!
[0]PETSC ERROR: ------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is with PETSc configure options --with-shared-libraries=1 --with-debug=0 --download-umfpack=1 --download-parmetis=1 --download-blacs=1 --download-scalapack=1 --download-mumps=1 --with-scalar-type=complex --with-clanguage=cxx

Suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
David
