I'd be thrilled to see that.  One minor annoyance, though - because of
the way we store DoFs, we'd need to add a "TET14" element to provide
side nodes for handling cubic and higher bases.  I could add that
easily enough, if you'd work out the bases to go on it.

They're there for infinite element radial basis functions, but not yet
for finite element bases.  They should be straightforward to add.

Presuming you mean spline mapping functions from master to physical
space (without which a spline FE basis wouldn't be especially useful
IMHO), there's been some discussion of the serious refactoring
required, but nothing beyond the handwaving stage.
