Oh Puhleeese!

Rumsfeld created NORTHCOM to do for North America what CENTCOM does for Central and South America.  Do you really think that because “CENTCOM” has “jurisdiction” over Columbia, Venezuela, Brazil and so on that the US has declared that it can overfly those nations with impunity?  No, the various commands simply provide the planning and command structure for taking whatever military action the civilian leadership decides is necessary.

The fact that we have such a good relationship with Canada means that we are able to work closely with them

As for “annexation”, any conservative (or libertarian, for that matter) considering it needs to have their head examined.  That would be enough to tip the balance of political power toward socialism for at least another generation.  I know there are people who think Bush is that dumb.  But even those people would have to then believe that backroom genius Karl Rove would be unable to see this or ‘splain it to Bush.

It’s the freedom, stupid!

Gun control: tyrants’ tool, fools’ folly.

P.S.  Well, maybe, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon,  Northwest Territoriy, and Nunavut, that would take care of the missile defense thing without seriously affecting the politics in D.C.….

P.P.S.  Yeah, Right!
