One of my best friends is a retired cop; my brother-in-law is a retired cop;
my niece's husband is an FBI agent and former city cop. They are all good
people who's company I enjoy tremendously, and they all share the cop mindset
of "us vs. them" or "they're all guilty of something until proven otherwise."
Most cops, active or retired, don't see themselves as "common folk."

But answer this, Rob: Are retired govt agents clamoring now to extend this
"privilege" to us common people?
