I'm new to the list, but I've been using Libpqxx for a while. Up until now, I've managed without too much trouble, but I finally hit a problem I can't solve. What I'm trying to do is enter binary data into the DB, but the control characters and such are causing a problem. So I'm wondering what is the substitute for PQescapeBytea? And how would you use it? I've looked at the manual and so far, I can't find anything that comes close except the pqxx::binarystring class. Which seems to only deal with reading a binary value, but not creating one.
Any assistance would be most helpful.
