Hi I'm a newbie in C++ and Postgres. I have WinXP and MsVC++ 2003. In the install file there are 4 steps for installing, I came to step 4 where it failed. 1. I went to cmd and ran vcvars32.bat 2. Added the paths 3. copied the 3 files: config-internal-compiler.h config-public-compiler.h config-internal-libpq.h to the right folder. 4. nmake failed. I tried to install libpqxx but I only came the where I should build the program. The problem is that nmake fails for libpqxxdll.lib, I searched on my computer and didn't find the file. What is the error?
Could the problem be that I have to build libpq first? How can I do it? Could someone give me step-by-step instructions?
