The use case that seems interesting to the widest range of people is
- to make comments [on a book] that will be shared with others in
your {class, reading group, network}
- to have a global namespace for comments/annotations/reviews
allowing searching for such annotations made by other people
- for the above to be integrated simply into the normal process of
discovering, opening and reading a book
