I was looking for something in Maplin a couple of days ago and noticed a
USB-powered external screen for a quite tempting £120. Tempting since I'm
visiting family and I don't have an external monitor available for some work
I'm doing in the evenings.
Does anyone have knowledge of the usability of these on standard (-ish)
Linuxen, and would the BIOS actually detect the monitor as an additional

Well, I bought a second CPU, and have 2x4GB RAM with matching clock speeds
for both of them, in the correct slots. However, with this setup I don't even
reach the proprietary BIOS, and Libreboot still does not work. Maybe my
motherboard is faulty? Has anyone encountered something similar to this,
please respond, thanks.

Hi there,
Trying to update libreboot a friend installed on my x60.
Default/prepackaged roms will not install, I think because my friend
customized something during the initial installation so it won't take
the vanilla rom file.
Currently stuck on installing the build dependencies. Using libreboot_src.
When I run "sudo ./build dependencies parabola" it errors out after
Packages (1) arm-none-eabi-gcc-5.3.0-1, with the error message: "error:
only one operation may be used at a time".
I'm not sure what is causing this error or how to troubleshoot it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone.
I have a x200 tablet and I was hoping to get it librebooted, and I'm
trying to figure out if it would be possible to do so. I uploaded some

I'm reading the following:

I quite do not understand the part where it talks about ?AFFS/IPS
panels?.
Using ?sudo get-edid | strings? I found that my LCD panel is a
HV121WX6-110.
The refereed page starts with ?All LCD panels... X200 Tablet are known
to work? but then it recommends some specific models without the glass
touchscreen protection or the digitizer (which could be removed), so I'm
a little confuse. Will my HV121WX6-110 LCD panel work or do I have to
get one of the recommended ones in that article?
Also the article proceeds talking about some LED backlit panel. My x200
tablet has some lights indicators on the back of the screen, would that
mean that I'm in the case mentioned there were I'll need to get an
inverter of some sort? I don't really need those LEDs, couldn't I just
remove them all along if that were the case?
Maybe I misunderstanding it all and it's all just a recommendation, but
I feel it's not very well explained. Also there doesn't seem to be any
mention of my HV121WX6-110 LCD panel on the site, so I'm a little worry
it won't work.

Sorry, I know now what the article is referring to as LED backlit panel.
Is the light that illuminates the screen from the back am I right? I
think I can follow the instructions to find out about it from here:

But I'm still concern about my other questions. Hope you could help me
out.
