hello,

the ipv6 support would need to be totally removed from busybox as well
as the general firmware and kernel configuration settings. if you are in
the buildsystem you can use the / key to search for the term ipv6 in
buildroot. i am not totally familiar with this process but i mainly am
writing to advice you that removing ipv6 does not necessarily increase
security. i am thinking of a network topology where ipv6
router-advertisements are sent from one layer2 network-bridge to the
other. if you do not have the ipv6 support to filter/firewall against
these malicious/misconfigured packets then it may reach the network you
are attempting to secure. this is probably the case when you are
bridging/connecting LAN ports of 2 or more routers or interfaces.
