If you want you can keep working on the testsuite. I didn't push that past contribution of you to git yet. We need to get the proper (C) assignments. Last time I checket it all tests were failing, but I believe it was a bug with the scripts not the lib actually failing. Also, Thi has changed makefiles to have make check call some test cases, you could have those approaches work together.
BTW, we have set up automated builds, so having the testsuite working with make would make us have automated testing as well.
