LibreOffice crashes when I try to print to a printer attached to another
computer over a LAN. Both the other computer and printer were switched on. The
crash occurs within the print dialog as soon as I left click on the printer
selection for the network printer (the crash is instant), selecting any of the
other printers does not cause a crash.
The crash occurs when trying to print any document from writer, calc, impress,
draw, and math including existing ODT documents, word documents, new unsaved
documents. I have not tried printing across a network from base to see if it
has the same problem, but as it occurs in the print dialog I suspect it does.
When the crash occurs it takes all open components and windows of LibreOffice
with it, not just the one for the document being printed.
This problem did not occur with version 3.3.3 but only on later versions.
The computer I am trying to print from is running Windows XP Professional x64
Edition Version 2003 Service Pack 2
The computer with the printer attached is running Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002 Service Pack 3
The printer is a Epson Stylus photo r265. The printer drivers on both machines
are correct and up to date.
Other applications such as Notepad++ and MS Office have no problem printing
across the network from the same computer to the same printer.
