When I copy the entire cell (with or without content) and paste it in other
cell, and after this from external source (web page, simple text editor) I copy
a string and try to paste with paste spacial in calc, the paste special dialog
didn't appear.
I test it in ubuntu 11.04 64 bit, ubuntu 11.10 32 and 64 bit.
In windows work fine.
