             Bug #: 43038
Summary: FORMATTING: Formatting of Embedded Images causes
                    Headaches
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.4.4 release
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Status Whiteboard: BSA
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Problem description:

This is more a general UI problem. Essentially, inserting images into Writer
and making sure they are formatted nicely with the surrounding text is much to
frustrating for so commonplace a task. When you paste them initially,
everything is fine, but adding text before the image, moving the image across
page breaks, or rearranging the order in which text and images appear causes
the formatting to screw up in many surprising and exasperating ways. It's the
worst when you are trying to move across a page break. Some of the ways in
which the formatting gets screwed up includes the order of two images being
reversed, two images being placed so that they overlap each other, or the image
ending up in the wrong position in the text.

Most of these issues seem to be caused by the word wrapping. I think they could
all be fixed if images were set to No Wrap by default.
