             Bug #: 43141
           Summary: FILESAVE: Worksheet Column Heading
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: LibO 3.4.4 release
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Windows (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Spreadsheet
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

The column heading (A, B, C, etc) is hidden in Excel 2003 when a new worksheet
is opened that was created by LibO in .xls format. This does not happen with
files saved in versions prior to 3.4. Same thing happens if an existing
spreadsheet has a new sheet inserted and the file is saved. The original sheets
show the column heading but the inserted sheet does not.

In Excel selecting show/ hide row/column headings will show/hide the row
headings but does not cause the column headings to be displayed. The column
headings are shown correctly in LibO.

A simple spreadsheet with just some text in cell A1 created in both 3.3.2 and
3.4.4 are identical in size but a compare shows a few one byte differences.

This is critical issue to retain compatibility with Excel where spreadsheets
are updated and exchanged between users of Excel and LibO.

OS is Win 7 Home Premium, Excel 2003 SP3
