Summary: Images lost and wrong rendering when framed in a page
with background image
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.4.3 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]

Writer showing a page with wrong rendering (lines close to the image frame not
shown)
Tested only in LibreOffice 3.4.3 OOO340m1 (Build:302) and some previous
releases in current Debian Testing for AMD64. Possibly happens in other
platforms and versions.
The fail happens when creating a document that includes in the same page(s):
text + background image + images with captions in a frame (tested with several
wrapping)
In this case and randomly the lines of text near the image frame are not shown
when paging up and down, and, what is worse, many times the document (tested
with ODF only) loses the images inserted between the text.
If the frames are removed and the images are inserted directly among the text,
the problem does not happen.
If the background image of the page is removed, the problem does not happen.
If the frame is move, no matter if just slightly, the text is renderized
correcty again... until you page down or up.
If the images are lost and you save the document, they dissapear completelly
from the ODF file and you cannot recover them (just Undoing if Writer is not
closed).
