Thanks. This type of Entity: line xx: parser error: .... error message indeed comes from an external XML parser, which indicates that the file is incorrectly parsed as an XML file. I've seen a similar problem before, and did fix it in 3.5. The problem was that the Excel 2003 XML file detection code was way too simple, and incorrectly identified this type of HTML file as an Excel 2003 XML file, and proceeded with importing it using that filter instead of using the HTML import filter.
