Yes.  I definitely have an soffice instance running, can see it running, and it
accepts connections on localhost.  (The script dies on line 30 if it can't
connect to anything on port 2002.):

$ . ooenv
$ ./soffice "--accept=socket,host=localhost,port=2002;urp;"
  # have also tried with this, if it makes any difference
  # ./soffice.bin "--accept=socket,host=localhost,port=2002;urp;"

LO does _not_ die when I run this script, but I do get the aforementioned
"__main__.RuntimeException: Binary URP bridge disposed during call" from line
32.  I take it this is not recreateable on your end?

It wouldn't be an issue with one of my --enable/--disable/--with/--without
autogen arguments, would it?
