First run means the first time the app in question is started. The document language is English which is default and presumed. Um, I expect red underlines for auto spell-check for misspellings, as that is its singular function, and I get none. My OS is Windows XP Pro SP3. It happens with any document in existence or newly created, so attaching a random doc would be pointless. I open 3.4.5, click recent, and open a recent file.
