In the past it would also import tables into footnote from DOC/DOCX files similar to RTF paste. Behaviour - for doc/docx (rtf?) - import changed with https://git.libreoffice.org/core/+/e11c51eefe8c3210cef2b5850f401ba67a401d01%5E!
