Some suggestions for improving insertion of special characters using the
dialog:
Make it possible to reposition the cursor in the document and insert regular
characters from the keyboard without having to close the dialog.
and/or Make it possible to construct a string of special characters in the
dialog before inserting into the document. There would need to be a means of
editing this string before inserting it.
