Bug ID: 159376
Summary: Printing multiple pages per sheet incorrectly renders
graphics
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Let's say you have 6 pages with drawings including curves and geometrical
figures. You want to print them on one page and select 6 pages per sheet to see
6 thumbnails. On printed version f.ex. the thumbnail of page 1 contains some
objects correctly downscaled to the thumbnail. But, some of the graphics seem
to retain size of the original page and be just cropped by thumbnail border.
Have an impression that this happens above all to curves objects where you can
control points and arbitrary shapes.
So, if you have a circle in page 1 and try to print a 6-thumbnail sheet in the
first thumbnail you will have only an short arc of the circle of original size,
but not the full small circle.
When exporting to pdf, all objects are scaled correctly.
Problem exists with several printers (at least three canon printers), with
various linux distros (Fedora 28 till 39) and with different versions of the
office from 6.5 or something till the last one.
My bet is on the scaling of the envelope of curves when selecting multiple
pages per sheet.
Given that more and more printing is done with A3 and documents summary,
problem starts to be rather annoying and any help is appreciated
Kind regards
