Bug ID: 159504
Summary: Color scheme of selected items on Toolbars/Tabs
contrasts poorly with dark mode on Windows.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.6.4.1 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I'm using the Sifr Dark SVG theme with LibreOffice, on Windows 11 with dark
mode enabled. However, active (selected) toolbar and tab buttons contrast very
poorly with the icons of the buttons; they have a background color of #cce8ff,
which is a light blue-ish color that makes it hard to read any icons with
predominantly white schemes, which is the case with most dark-mode icon themes,
not just Sifr.
I may be wrong, but I've checked all customization settings, tried the Skia
backend, but couldn't find any way to change it. It may be a cosmetic issue,
but it's frequent enough to be a consistent inconvenience. Please help.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice on Windows with dark mode enabled.
2. Click on any tab or menu icon.
3. Try and see if the contrast is good enough.
Actual Results:
White icons are not visible enough against the backdrop of #cce8ff.
Expected Results:
I expected a dimmer color choice for dark mode; one just a few ticks above the
#191919 UI color, like #383838. Or even better, that color should be
customizable, like an accent color.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
