Any solution needs a use case, just adding an option because it's known from other, not even similar applications is not a good reason. Personally I sympathize with the idea to restore the last session or to store different documents in a project (aka session). It's a bit orthogonal to the current workflow meaning such a session would have to be somehow accessible from the start center, and maybe needs selective presentation for the MRU.
