Code for parsing this seems to be in starmath/source/parse.cxx it seems the configuration XML has things like: officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Math.xcu: <node oor:name="omega" oor:op="replace"> officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/Math.xcu: <node oor:name="OMEGA" oor:op="replace"> Which I guess is where we get the unicode char number from.
