            Bug ID: 160070
Summary: Linux libreoffice documents do not print emojis
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 7.3.7.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Printing and PDF export
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
In Linux libreoffice documents do not print emojis like πŸ”” πŸ™ πŸͺŸ πŸ“¦ πŸšͺ πŸ“. whether I
do it in impress, writer it does not show. when you convert the document to PDF
it does not show, just like when you print the document in ODF. Same when you
convert it to the windows format of docx. It does however print the document
made in linux libre office when you transfer the document to a android phone or
a windows desktop. but that defeats the purpose of the safety and privacy of
linux.

I had some comparable things that do not convert and print before but I think
when this is fixed also those other problems will be resolved.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Post emojis in libre office writer
2.export to pdf, safe to docx or odf
3.print A4 to epson, brother or hp printer

Actual Results:
the PDF and A4 prints show the text and where the emojis are supposed to be are
blanks

Expected Results:
prints and pdf include foreign emojis from Unicode 10.0, googleΒ΄s Noto Color
Emoji 15.1 and Mozilla - FxEmojis 1.7.9

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
Ive had comparable problem for years, I even think I had this problem when I
used libreoffice on windows. The solution is not only to include the code for
the emojis in the libreoffice package but also to include similar overarching
infrastructure microsoft word uses to produce PDF and connection with the
printer
