Or are you using any other value? Are you on KDE Neon? Depending on your distribution, LibreOffice will open using the gtk3 backend by default, even on Plasma. Please share the info on your Help - About LibreOffice to help us figure out this issue. I have KDE Neon Dev edition on a test machine and LO is running fine using the kf5 backend.
